What we do...
Golden Boy Pies, Inc., is one of the few regional wholesale bakeries still in production. We bake our products from scratch daily, using top quality, natural ingredients. We produce gourmet quality pies, crisps, brownies, cakes, cupcakes, and pre-cut cheesecakes, for delivery to restaurants, hospitals, businesses, and organizations in selected cities in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and western Illinois.
Our business history...
We began baking pies for the Kansas City Metro area restaurants in 1973. Our quality pies, made from all-natural ingredients, were soon in demand in surrounding cities, too. Over the years, we've added other desserts, introducing them only when we have developed recipes worthy of the Golden Boy Pies name. Our reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service has now spread to a five-state area. After years of renting offices and production space, we built our own, specially-designed facility in Overland Park, Kansas, in 1987. In January 2000, we completed a major addition to our production area.
About our staff...
Our company has grown by leaps and bounds since our inception. Yet the president of our corporation, Terry Hunt, still works at what he loves best - baking. He is assisted by a staff of over thirty extra-special, hard-working professionals, who work as a team to sell, produce, and deliver our delicious desserts. Each employee has a personal stake in keeping our Golden Boy Pies standards at their highest. Most of them have been part of our Golden Boy Pies family for so many years, that we know their families, parents, and grandchildren. That sense of belonging and caring goes into each product we make.
What makes us unique...
Our company believes in old fashioned practices. All our products are baked fresh. We bake only what is ordered, and deliver it fresh in our own fleet of refrigerated trucks. We think each customer is special, and we have designed our procedures to track and satisfy individual needs. We have a low minimum for delivery (only seven units!), yet can handle orders for hundreds of units. We have a regular product line, and feature other specialties monthly. With sufficient notice, and certain minimum quantities, we can often meet your needs for special items not currently in regular production.
